some stuff … uniform, musicfest, vicomp

VJ belt is maroon with pink stripes, shirt is thick especially collar part, hence heavy. bought XXL so that shirt is big and more baggy

should i quit piano ensemble and join judo? hmmm

TERP looks interesting but probably too time-consuming…

Musicfest tickets people rushing like NDP tickets, queuing 4 hours before 5pm, running here and there today as venue not known, had 7 people to buy for, but in the end didn’t manage to get a queue number….one person can only buy 10 at a time, and there are only 700 tickets for sale….so only 70 people got a chance to buy…only less than 1/2 of VJ people can go, much less non-VJ people

still remember the first day in icomp, shafeeq joking about me and this RG girl having the same interests? haha…it’s min xuan and i ended up being emcee with her in Vicomp 2004…interesting competition, interesting experience on some preparations being last minute, and wonderful VB script done by caleb, and guess why teemie chose us as emcee? cos min xuan’s female, and me? cos i talk too much during icomp

I LOVE YOU ANYWAY

The fear of rejection may be one of the most basic fears of the human
experience. Dr. Joe Harding tells a heart-warming story of a man who
finally decided to ask his boss for a raise in salary. It was Friday. He
told his wife that morning what he was about to do. All day the man felt
nervous and apprehensive. Late in the afternoon he summoned the courage to
approach his employer. To his delight, the boss agreed to a raise.

The man arrived home to a beautiful table set with their best china.
Candles were lighted. His wife had prepared a festive meal. Immediately he
figured that someone from the office had tipped her off! Finding his wife in
the kitchen, he told her the good news. They embraced and kissed, then sat
down to a wonderful meal. Next to his plate the man found a beautiful
lettered note. It read: “Congratulations, darling! I knew you’d get the
raise! These things will tell you how much I love you.”

While on his way to the kitchen to get dessert he noticed that a second
card had fallen from her pocket. Picking it off the floor, he read: “Don’t
worry about not getting the raise! You deserve it anyway! These things will
tell you how much I love you.”

Total acceptance! Total love. Her love for him was not contingent upon his
success at work. In fact, just the opposite. If he were to fail there, if
he were to be rejected by his boss, he’d be all the more accepted at home.
She stood behind him no matter what; softening the blows, healing the
wounds, believing in him, loving him. We can be rejected by almost anyone
if we’re loved by one.

That’s the way families can be with each other. And I like to think that’s
the way God is with us, too! “We love Him because He first loved us.”

Synerg!z

Jonathan Chua and I have been truly blessed in the Synergiz Youth
Conference, held on 15-17 March.
For those who are with us during the Planet Shakers concert, I’m sure you
all have also been blessed by the wonderful worship we had with the Planet
Shakers band and Russell Evan’s word.

All in all, the conference was really amazing, with 600+ youths gathered
each day from 65 churches all over Singapore worshipping God together,
listening to His Word, and also be blessed and ministered by the different
pastors and speakers from here and around. The highlight was of course the
Planet Shakers team, who have shared with us some principles and led us into
tremendous praise and worhsip. I’ve learnt quite a lot in the 3 days…

Birthday

As my birthday today, I would to thank everyone who has helped, supported, encouraged, be with me in one way or another over the past 17 years of my life..okay but sorry can’t list down everyone here….

God, thank You for all your blessings over the past years, thank You for your faithfulness and everlasting love and grace you’ve always shown, I just commit everything into Your Hands.

WiFi Up and running!

today used a lot of wifi….but battery manage to last till home
during physics lect, nat and renfu was using…very funny cos the signal weak, when we pass to one another, got dc again and again

during physics lect darn funny
renfu go and sit purposely those places that got water dripping
then he go and open someone’s umbrella!!! LOL!

dunno just wondering the condition in LT
considering the new lakes and waterfalls created
from the S and T centre there see the teachers desperately shifting car very funny….heard that the flood was as high as the exhaust pipe of the car…people staring at rain, staircases blocked and becoming waterfall….quadrangle flooded….new lake and waterfalls
vjc facilities actually quite sucky…firstly somehow a lot of aircons not working
one com lab aircon has been spoilt for a week, one LT has been on and off spoilt but fixed now, very cold
then sometimes they nvr on aircon…must intercom office to on….

VJ as poor as VS la…but now they renovating the hall to aircon it

stuck in jam for 2 hours….jam from east coast to airport road..since 3pm+
luckily i got seat…but sit 2h till pain

terence lim seem very enthu and popular in his class (kaihong also in same class as him)

teacher was asking someone to demo burpees, then his class girls shouted and requested for him
