Well, basically we are supposed to self-script, self-direct, self-film a news report on the Chinese Drama Nite and it’d be featured on MediaCorp News…cool eh?

Today was soccer finals…long time nvr watch live soccer match…long time nvr watch TV in fact
it was cool, though VJC order 30 buses but there aren’t so many people there….waste money
Saw mr wong wai lit hahaz, for a moment forgot his name
saw other VS guys….renfu, yaw hwee, zhelin, edris, shi ming etc.

VJC beat SAJC 4:1…and Mrs chan was hugging the coach hahaz

Friday is Eat With Your Family Day and many people don’t know of this new campaign! Comes to show that many JC students don’t read newspaper? Sigh but friday is also band concert

hmm wonder when’s the full day holiday….mrs chan say will repay some time nxt term

just realised we’d have a long weekend after mid-year due to youth day holiday

There is very instructive incident involving the life of Alexander, the great Greek king.
Alexander, after conquering many kingdoms, was returning home. On the way, he fell ill and it took him to his death bed. With death staring him in his face, Alexander realized how his conquests, his great army, his sharp sword and all his wealth were of no consequence. He now longed to reach home to see his mother’s face and bid her his last adieu.
But, he had to accept the fact that his sinking health would not permit him to reach his distant homeland. So, the mighty conqueror lay prostrate and pale, helplessly waiting to breathe his last. He called his generals and said, “I will depart from this world soon, I have three wishes, please carry them out without fail.” With tears flowing down their cheeks, the generals agreed to abide by their king’s last wishes.
“My first desire is that, ” said Alexander, “My physicians alone must carry my coffin.”
After a pause, he continued, “Secondly, I desire that when my coffin is being carried to the grave, the path leading to the graveyard be strewn with gold, silver and precious stones which I have collected in my treasury.”
The king felt exhausted after saying this. He took a minute’s rest and continued. “My third and last wish is that both my hands be kept dangling out of my coffin.” The people who had gathered there wondered at the king’s strange wishes. But no one dare bring the question to their lips.
Alexander’s favorite general kissed his hand and pressed them to his heart. “O king, we assure you that your wishes will all be fulfilled.
But tell us why do you make such strange wishes?”
At this Alexander took a deep breath and said: “I would like the world to know of the three lessons I have just learnt. I want my physicians to carry my coffin because people should realize that no doctor can really cure any body. They are powerless and cannot save a person from the clutches of death. So let not people take life for granted.
The second wish of strewing gold, silver and other riches on the way to the graveyard is to tell people that not even a fraction of gold will come with me. I spent all my life earning riches but cannot take anything with me. Let people realize that it is a sheer waste of time to chase wealth.
And about my third wish of having my hands dangling out of the coffin, I wish people to know that I came empty handed into this world and empty handed I go out of this world.” With these words, the king closed his eyes.
Soon he let death conquer him and breathed his last.

Let me rant about VJC aircons….

all inconsistent brands
i mean some classrooms have newer yorks, some older, some carriers, some national …
makes the remote control inconsistent, then the remote control goes missing
then the aircon for L25-26 so old that cannot be immediately repaired
and the other day L25’s aircon was leaking
what is this….where are the funds channelled to….? lol

teemie: lousy brand la…who ever buys york air cons…

V27, V26 no remote control
for one day, the remote for V26/27 mysteriously reappeared
then it disappeared again
for mysterious reasons, the remote i programmed on my ipaq didn’t work
when it used to work last time

so we’d have to suffer only one aircon in v27 spinning in unknown mode at unknown temperature
and two aircons in v26 spinning in unknown mode at unknown temperature

and v23 aircon remote seems no battery or the LCD spoilt…cant be seen clearly
and v22 one carrier aircon spoilt

and why using so much electricity?
one main problem is the fans are usually on together with the aircon? why? because the aircons aren’t good enough to cool the room well
also for rooms such as V21 with aircons both at the back, those sitting at the back will always feel very cold, and hence will turn it down. then those sitting in front will feel warm and need the fans…see?

Today was CT investiture,
Ashish our dear CT rep is chairman! yeah! interesting eh….didn’t expect him to want to take up positions

Then during his speech, he said some chinese proverb…lol
Also, after that, my class shouted “Ashish, wo3 men2 yong2 yuan3 zhi1 ci2 ni3!” LOL
Ashish also mentioned about “look forward to working well with the upcoming president of SC – santosh”…then everyone was talking about a conspiracy lol….both presidents are hockey, both are indians, and both are from VS ahah
Then, shafeeq and matthew shouted “go santosh!”…urm darn off…relevance?
Then, shafeeq a bit crazy….wanted to do VS cheer….

Well, come to think of it, last year was RI reign (siva and sanjiv), and this year is VS reign! woohoo haha

Last week had a lot of tests, had the following tests and was stressed out:

1. GP Essay Test
2. SPA Physics Skill B
3. Chinese Common Test
4. NAPFA Test

aiyo…chinese common test was okay la

as for napfa…well…well well

MOE internet server has been down for 2 days!

MOE’s screwed….block net connection, request TAs to update ALL school coms anti-virus, THEN can open net connection
it was due to a stupid gaobot virus threat, so some schools, or most singapore schools affected, all have same procedure and TAs are super busy
crazy to update so many coms at one go, and there’s no shortcut. There’s no automatic thing that can be done in a few steps on one central computer. This sucks…technology failing itself! Thought it’s advanced enough to udpate all these things.

This is so urgent that we iCOMP have to help the TAs and skip assembly tmr.
What if this happens in business world,…sure lose lots of money. hmm why isn’t this reported in the news? someone call the straits times hotline lol

and abt filming…things getting exciting as we are filming a news thing which will be broadcasted on TV…

today i boarded SBS Transit 82 on the way home
the Indian driver greeted “Good evening” as me and other passengers boarded the bus…the last person, a student, was like wondering what the captain was saying (blur look on her face), she stopped for a moment in front of the captain, then continued walking, then the captain said, “Ha don’t understand eh?”

Along the way, he would remind passengers that no need to rush when alighting, though he seems to be talking to himself. There were some passengers trying to look at who’s he talking to…

As the bus proceeded on its journey, I noticed that when he greets people, some simply ignored and continue walking after tapping the EZ Link card, while others appear appalled and shocked or stood back at the captain’s courtesy, while some smiled back…

At one stop, a pregnant lady alighted from a car and boarded. She seem to know the captain, smiled and greeted him too. The captain waited for the lady to get to her seat before driving. He later beeped/horned and waved at the car which alighted the lady.

At a zebra crossing, he even beeped/horned at the kid walking by and waved to him…haha

Well, this is what happens when a bus captain goes a little extra mile and somehow generally we find it weird…I’ve encountered other similar (or was it the same person? lol) before….and hope more captains should be like this to make up our day and their day…and certainly hope it wasn’t the same captain who I met a few *years* back…

well, after all, he’s a bus captain, not driver…

my aunt, ex-teacher of VJC, was asking me about funfair,
then on realising that the top prize was a car, she regretted not buying some coupons since the odds of winning it is very low…

hmm just came upon my mind that if one buys many funfair tickets (say 100) for the lucky draw, he could probably win the car and the $ in the tickets…

…wish i could have a car to drive to school next year…wish…haha
